Itinerary

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6

Day 01: USA To Salvador, Brazil  

We’ll be departing Miami, Florida Friday morning  and arriving in Salvador, Brazil early Saturday morning. Our tour guide will meet us at the airport and take us to our hotel.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7

Day 02: Leisure Day & Welcome Dinner
--Breakfast & Dinner included--

Take this day as a leisure day. After breakfast, take time to relax from our flight, unwind at the bar, take a dip in the pool or explore the city on your own.
This evening, our tour guide will pick us up and take us to our Welcome Dinner at Sal E Brasa Steakhouse. We'll enjoy a complete menu with more than 25 types of meat and a buffet of  cold cuts , cheeses, salad, seafood, a variety of hot dishes, sushi, sashimi and delectable desserts. Evening at leisure to relax or enjoy nightlife in Salvador.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8

Day 03:Full Day Afro American History Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide will pick us up for a full day Afro American History tour, which combines the modern section and the older Historical Center of the city. We'll start at the Pelourinho area, so called after the pillory which stood in the main square, in front of the central slave market. Next, we'll visit the Afro-Brazilian Museum, which traces the West African origins of the city. Next, we'll visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, a famous Black church, built with meager resources over a period of almost 100 years. Next door is the intimate Bahian Gastronomy Museum which focuses on the African influence on Bahia cuisine.

We'll take a break for lunch before heading to Itapagipe Peninsula for a different perspective of the sprawling city. Enjoy the view of the quiet beach where life moves at a slower pace than the bustling upper city. The Visit continues to the Monserrat district with its panoramic view of the city and ends with shopping at Mercado Modelo. 

Evening at leisure to relax or enjoy nightlife in Salvador.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 9

Day 04: Leisure Day & Folkloric Show with Dinner

Breakfast at the hotel and then spend the day at leisure.
Tonight we'll go to a Folkloric Show with dinner. We'll see a demonstration of the main folkloric and cultural manifestations of Bahia, presented by the Bahia awarded Ballet Folklorico. A light show, sounds and movements will involve you so that you cannot look away from the stage, not to mention the delicious dinner that will be served with some of the main dishes of Bahian cuisine. It is sure to be an unforgettable night!

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10

Day 05: Salvador to Rio de Janeiro

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll check out and be transferred back to the airport for our flight to Rio de Janeiro.

Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, our group will be met and transferred to the hotel by private service with English speaking guide. Check into Arena Copacabana hotel  for the next three nights. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax on the beach or enjoy nightlife in Rio. 

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11

Day 06: Full Day City Tour of Rio de Janeiro

After  breakfast, we'll visit the Christ Statue at Corcovado Mountain. A cogwheel train will take us up the 710 meters to the statue of Christ through the luxuriant rain forest. During the 20-minute ride, enjoy the lush scenery and take in some of that fresh mountain air of the Tijuca Forest. At the top of several flights of steps, you'll be beneath the almost 40-metre tall statue of Christ with the whole of Rio at your feet. The spectacle is truly incredible.

Next, we'll enjoy a buffet lunch before joining the Sugar Loaf tour. We'll drive by downtown Rio, with its fine colonial-style Portuguese buildings, and continuing on to the cable car at Praia Vermelha (red beach). A ride to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain gives a wonderful view of the city nestling between the mountains and the sea.
We'll continue through the city center to visit Metropolitan Cathedral, Escadaria Selaron Steps and the sambodromo. 
Overnight in Rio at Arena Copacabana hotel.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12

Day 07: Rio at leisure

After breakfast, enjoy a free day on our own in Rio de
Janeiro. Overnight in Rio at Arena Copacabana hotel.

Day 08: Rio Departure

Our tour guide will pick us up from our hotel and take us to the airport for our flight back to Miami, FL.  

Please note: accommodations to and from Miami, FL are not included.

Fee schedule

$500 minimum deposit to secure your spot.

The remaining balance must be paid in equal monthly payments, due on the 4th of each month.

Final payment is due no later than September 4, 2019.  
All payments are non-refundable.
